WHEN IT COMES TO EXERCISE, TIME IS MONEY
Have you ever wanted to exercise without taking too much time out of your day?
We know how it is. There’s work from nine to five, plus traffic thrown in for good measure. That means that approximately eight to ten hours of your day (if not more) are dedicated to going to work, working, and then going back home.
According to NPR, the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2017 American Community Survey data showed that the average American’s commute increased from 26.6 minutes to 26.9 minutes. That 18-second increase added an extra two and a half hours on the road for Americans in 2018. And as we all know: time is money.
While routines are a good thing, there’s a certain sense of defeat when we get into our cars and repeat the same thing day in and day out. As adults, we become used to having very little time to ourselves, and most of us simply go through the motions, wishing but never acting.
GET INTO SHAPE AN HOUR AT A TIME
That’s why many of our working parents and full-time college students join our jiujitsu classes.
Excellent for kinetic and visual learners, jiujitsu pushes you to expand your knowledge of martial arts through our detailed sessions. For just an hour, you could burn up to 345 calories. And if you exercise a couple of times a week, you could burn anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 calories.
In all honesty, in a week or two, your side should stop hurting from being winded. Your balance will also improve noticeably. We can’t promise that your flexibility and muscle mass will start showing improvements so soon, but keep at it and you’ll be living healthier and happier.
Our mission is to empower you by showing you how to take your self-defense and your health into your own hands. Jiujitsu does this by helping you set goals. We all know that exercising just to exercise can be incredibly boring, and people who do this can find it hard to stay motivated. That’s why jiujitsu is a great way to shake up your routine, because there’s nothing like burning calories while learning a time-honored martial art.
Of course, it’s not all roses. There’s the sweat for one, and the sore muscles, but those are part of any sport. What MAJJ can guarantee you is a cost-effective exercising schedule that you can set your clock by. Just come, train, leave, and sleep well knowing that you’ve just made the most of an hour!
